Stefan Olofsson is a Swedish songwriter, producer and piano player whose music ranges from pop to jazz, classical
and progressive rock. Certified in Studio Recording from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, USA, and Piteå School
of Music, Sweden. He is one half of the yacht rock duo State Cows as well as one third of the crossover prog band Dynamo Bliss.
His first solo album Story of a Woman was released in 2003. It combines elements of jazz, classical, progressive rock and
Swedish folk music. During the same time period he was a session player on yacht rock projects Strange Ways and Days in L.A.
He has performed and recorded with Jay Graydon (two-time Grammy winner, twelve-time Grammy
nominee, Earth, Wind & Fire, George Benson, Al Jarreau, The Manhattan Transfer, Steely Dan alumni),
Bill Champlin (Chicago), Jason Scheff (Chicago), Michael Landau (Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd) and Ian Bairnson
(Kate Bush, Alan Parsons Project) among others.
Stefan is currently recording new music with two of his bands as well as working on a few other projects. He is also active
as a jazz pianist in the Greek city of Chania, Crete.

Previous Main Bands
The Posers - extremely popular Beatles tribute band, gigging locally in Umeå, Sweden, for a few years in the late 1990s.
2nd Arrangement - highly praised Steely Dan tribute
band, in the early 2000s, before the band State Cows was formed.
Current Main Bands
- State Cows - smooth guitar lines, half-time shuffles, funky bass lines, slick
harmonies, real Fender Rhodes, tight horn sections and some California sunshine ... it's all in there.
- Dynamo Bliss - hammond pop, progressive rock, analog synth, art rock,
choir chorus, classic rock, cp80, instrumental polyrhythm, space synth, guitar solo, vocal harmonies ... in brief, crossover prog at its best.

Stefan is also active as a jazz piano teacher, as well as a session
